EXCITING NEWS!

EXCITING NEWS!
Mayor Stanley Allred, Millport Town Council, and the Town employees are happy to announce the Town of Millport was awarded a Drinking Water State Revolving Fund grant on October 16, 2023 in the amount of $1,713,000. This is a no match grant which will enable the Town to update a lot of our water system and replace our oldest water tank which is 75 years old.
We want to thank Senator Greg Reed and Representative Tracy Estes for their help in securing this grant for Millport. 2024 is shaping up to be a very productive year for the Town of Millport. Thanks to all of our citizens for their support.

Waste Management Guidelines

Mayor Allred and I have been trying ever since Waste Management went to the new truck with the arm for a notice we could send out with the new guidelines. We finally got one late yesterday afternoon. This flyer gives you the instructions for garbage pickup. The day of pickup has not changed. We will be mailing this out to all Millport residents.
We apologize for all of the confusion, but we were not given notice of Waste Management's changes until now.
If you would like an additional can, I will gladly print out the form you will need to pick one up. There will be an additional $5.00 per month charge per additional can. You can have up to 3 cans total.

Millport City Park

Mayor Stanley Allred and the Town Council would like everyone to notice the clearing of underbrush at Millport City Park. If you have areas that need to be cleared, Chad McCool is the man to do it for you. He did an excellent job. Now this area will be easier for the Town employees to keep under control.
